Tor Hildyard
Tor worked as a Printmaking tutor and technician at UCA, Maidstone, Kent, after finishing her degree. She later returned to achieve an MA in Printmaking in 2010. Tor also worked as a tutor in Adult Education for ten years, and runs her own private printmaking courses from her studio in Worcestershire
Tor exhibs her work, both Nationally and Internationally, and has been involved in a number of charity events, including ‘Cow Parade’, a public arts event that took place all over London to raise money for Child Line, painting ‘The Ritz cow’ for the Ritz Hotel, and ‘Essential British Kit’, for Hacketts. Tor also submis postcards to ‘Secrets’ at the RCA, a yearly event that raises money for student bursaries. In 2011,Tor was accepted to show at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibiton.
Her subject matter is drawn from her imagination and from life, and in addition to her studies of animals and humans,she also produces prints depicting quirky humour in everyday life.
Tor coves all the main processes involved in printmaking; etching, lithography, silkscreen and lino, often combining more than one method.
